F I N E R

F.I.N.E.R. was developed for individuals who suffer from chronic pain but, despite all efforts, have not found long-term solutions from conventional pain care.

The program consists of bi-annual, 8-week, virtual group meetings for pain education, integrative skills training, and meaningful engagement with others who understand what it means to be in chronic pain.
There is also a hybrid/in-person 2 hour, bi-monthly pain workshop/ group mind body therapy option at Mass General Brigham, Foxboro. See “Calendar” for upcoming chronic pain workshops.

FINER workshops are facilitated by a medical doctor specialized in chronic pain management, a physical therapist, and other guests interested in this work.

A hybrid in-person and virtual, interdisciplinary, biannual 2-month program.

These sessions are a more comprehensive part of the program and are included with official FINER registration. These are interdisciplinary, Epic-integrated, HIPAA-compliant group clinics that aim to provide group support, education, and real functional improvement for those who may be suffering from chronic spine or musculoskeletal pain. These groups are hosted by pain physician, Dr. Jennifer Kurz, physical therapists trained in chronic pain, and occasional special guests/ psychologists.  Workshops are entirely virtual, with Zoom-compliant, registered patients who meet the group’s inclusion criteria.  Participation and live engagement are essential, as we will be practicing the concepts and skills learned in the Monday workshop series.  We will engage SMART goals and practice evidence-based lifestyle medicine strategies, meditation, yoga, and pain psychology. This program may not take away your physical pain, but it will allow you to control the level of suffering, unhealthy behaviors and mindsets, and the disability your pain may be causing you.
